Changing the volume of a giant macrocycle: the swelling of the macrocycle with organic solvents.
The novel tetrahedral macrocycles 1a-1c have been synthesized. Macrocycles 1a and 1c were revealed to have the property to increase in volume in solution by complexation between the macrocycle and the solvent molecules.
متن کاملUnusual transmetallation-induced formation of a C2-symmetric tetrapallada-macrocycle.
We report the formation of a tetrapallada-macrocycle induced by an unusual transmetallation, in which an anionic bidentate chelate ligand is replaced by a phenyl ligand from phenylboronic acid, leaving the chloride ligands intact.
متن کاملUltrasound accelerated gelation of novel L-lysine based hydrogelators.
We reported a novel hydrogelator with L-lysine as a linker to connect 7-carboxyl methoxycoumarin and hydrazine as lipophilic and water-soluble moieties. Ultrasound accelerated the gelation and induced homogenous self-assembly of fibrils into entangled 3D networks. The hydrogel exhibits great potential for future biomedical applications.
متن کاملFlow-induced gelation of microfiber suspensions.
The flow behavior of fiber suspensions has been studied extensively, especially in the limit of dilute concentrations and rigid fibers; at the other extreme, however, where the suspensions are concentrated and the fibers are highly flexible, much less is understood about the flow properties. We use a microfluidic method to produce uniform concentrated suspensions of high aspect ratio, flexible ...
متن کاملA Case of Giant Sebaceoma
Sebaceoma is a benign tumor with sebaceous differentiation. It usually presents as a yellowish papule or nodule on the face and scalp. This is a report of a 27-year-old-woman who presented with a giant, 6cm×4.5 cm exophytic tumor on her head. Clinically, we considered several diseases; however, the histological and immunohistochemical features matched those of sebaceoma. The lesion was excised ...
